July ( Again ) 2016

                                   TWINSHOCK NEWSLETTER JULY 2016 AGAIN

Well fockers that is round 6 done and dusted  and what a superb meeting it was .great weather for a  change and the track in perfect condition, the club must give a mention to Fraser the  top tractor man from Drumclog as he worked tirelessly for the week before our event to get the track in ace  condition .It was so much better than the previous week when another club ran an event at the track and it was pretty much a disaster due to very bad weather conditions, so don,t blame your officials if the weather makes things bad, it can happen to the best of us but luckily we came out on top as we had a beautiful day and no serious injuries ,no race stoppages and no idiots flying about the pits and best of all no litter that I am aware of . So all in all a wonderful round 6, we saw a vast improvement in the track condition when we arrived early on the Sunday morning and the meeting ran like clockwork as we now have 1 of the best organizational teams in the business ,everything went smoothly and a few riders that were absent at round 5 due to holidays were back in action and putting on a super show for the large crowd of spectators . I must confess it is one of the slickest run events that I have ever been to,at least 3 rides for every rider ,a good long interval where you could savour the gorgeous grub from the lovely Fiona,s  burger van, superb racing for the spectators to see,the start team and timing squad kept the meeting running smoothly  ,a super trophy presentation where all the recipients got a big one  and out the gat at half past 3 ,that,s  right 3-30 p.m. . Home by 4-30 p.m. .Unbelievable but very true  and I was a 50 mile drive away.

Well done lads and lasses  a truly super team of people .Our resident video  man and race reporter  is back after a stint doing the goat track rounds which proved a massive failure and he is now back for good  with the no. 1 club so look out for the best report and DVD footage you will ever see.

Since Sandy left the club as our resident photographer to concentrate on other hobby  we have allowed anyone to take photo,s at our events ,we just ask that they sign in first in case of injury, there are some great pictures mainly on farceboak but we thank these people for doing a great service for the club and if any rider wants prints of themselves in action they should contact the photographer that took the photo for a copy.

We must give our heartfelt thanks to Donny Bruce and Kyle Mcclure for doing the the track marshalling this year, they are a great help and keep our race controller Allan Hughes informed of any out of sight happenings around the track ,so thanks lads and keep up the good work.

Come to our next event at the super Tinto Moto Park  Venue at Rigside , Lanarkshire for round 7 of the Sottish Scramble Championsips. We are offering free entry to all spectators at this event as a thank to our loyal supporters  so come along with your wife and as many kids as you want and it will not cost a dime this time,  AND FREE PARKING,and everybody  gets in free yes free.  Don,t  miss it ROUND 7 AT TINTO MOTO PARK 28TH AUGUST 2016
