WELL CHAPS AND CHAPPESSES THAT IS ROUND 2 DONE AND DUSTED AND WHAT A GREAT EVENT IT WAS. A BRISK CHILL GREETED US IN THE MORNING BUT IT IS BETTER TO BE COLD THAN EATEN ALIVE WITH THE DREADED MIDGY, OF WHICH THERE WERE NONE. A SLIGHT HICCUP WITH THE NEW TIMING SYSTEM HELD UP PROCEEDINGS FOR A SHORT TIME. WE CONTINUED WITH THE HELP OF SUPER BECS BURRELL AND THE THE GORGEOUS ANNE HOPTON AS LAPSCORERS TO ALLOW GRAHAME AND THE DELECTABLE SAM FOOTE SORT OUT THE ELECTICALS.

MARCH 2015 NEWSLETTER

Well Well Well, what a start to this new exciting year of twinshock motocross.

After the cancellation of Tinto due damp patches (i bet a male stripper show doesn’t get cancelled due to damp patches) the committee worked franticly to reorganise an alternative venue. Vice Chairman Hoppy managed to pull a few strings and get his litterbug mate Craig Meechan to contact Jocky Fleming to contact myself to see if we could get the use of the Leuchars track. As luck would have it Leuchars was free, so at the last minute wee Jocky saved the day by giving us the use of the track.

TWINSHOCK NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2014

Well folkers that is another great meeting done and dusted, great weather and a super team running the event coupled with the best riders on the planet made for a cracking days racing at Leuchars last sunday. This event was rescheduled to leuchars as the original cardenden track had some internal issues and has been closed until further notice.

The racing was very exciting and super to watch, although the track cut up a wee bit during the day, all the true scramblers dealt with it without any problems, while the so called racers stood and watched like wet socks on a washing line. I saw a few classic diddies (as lugs calls them) spectating, I think they had a meeting among themselves to discuss the issue of bumps as they had never seen any before, the word in the paddock is that a big coup is on the cards at their agm, I await with bated breath to see the outcome, should be thrilling.

NEWSLETTER AUGUST (AGAIN) 2014

Here we go again with another newsletter in the month of august. The meeting at tinto last sunday was a real cracker. Great track and super weather made for a super day for most of us. The bad news is that we had a couple of injuries. The Garden familly of father and son both succumbed to the track conditions and were treated at trackside and now both seem to be fine. Then there was young Ewan Campbell who also fell off and was kinda dazed for a short while, i saw him late in the day and he looked ok, and the worst was big boy Graham Naismith who had a jaunt over the bars and on landing very heavy sustained a nasty  thump. The latest we have is that he lost 2 teeth (it has been rumoured that he is taking over the club soon), 3-5 broken ribs and a nasty back injury of which we do not know the extent. His team manager, Ian (the jinx) Gerrard, will keep us informed on the forum how Graham is progressing and we all wish him and the others a speedy and full recovery.

NEWSLETTER TWINSHOCK AUGUST 2014

Here is your news from the month of august in this year of 2014.

Our event last sunday at lochgilphead made a promising start in the morning, bright sunshine, a superb track all freshly prepared for us and a super entry of very nice people ready to race their shiny bikes.

During race seven the heavens opened and down it came, yes rain like we only hear about and that was the end of what was looking like a superb meeting.

TWINSHOCK NEWSLETTER JULY 2014

Well folks that is us halfway through our great 2014 Scottish Twinshock Championship. Round 5 last Sunday saw a superb turnout of riders at Glen Fruin on the revamped hillside track. Sean Doherty and his band of helpers did a great job in building what was a super new layout. Sean and his son Jordi spent a good few days with Donnie Bruce’s 2 diggers the previous week getting the track prepped and grading the new layout and what a superb job they both did.

NEWSLETTER JUNE 2014

Here we are again, with all the news for the month of June in the year 2014. The last round at Stirling last week turned out to be a right cracker, what a superb flowing track that every rider that I spoke said they loved it, I wonder who the guy is that lays out all these great fabulous track for the twinshock club. It must be me as nobody else has the skills and knowhow to set out such great tracks month after month, no one.

I was back up at the track on Monday doing the normal tour of litter duty and hey things are looking up, only a couple of juice cans and some paper left which, l suppose is a lot better than previous meetings but why do people leave junk lying about for someone else to pick up.

TWINSHOCK NEWSLETTER APRIL 2014

Well folkers that is round 2 done and dusted, great weather, a superb crowd of people (apart from the litter bugs) and one of the best run meetings that I have ever attended. The amount and quality of members just seems to increase year on year in this club, we are the premier motocross club in scotland I would think at this time.
