Fees for 2017 will remain the same as they have been for the last 5 years with no increases again this year. Membership £25 – Day Membership £10 – Full Licence £15 – Day Licence £5 – Entry £35 – Late Entry + £10 .This was welcomed and agreed by the body of the hall .

After some discussion on revitalasing the Team Challenge ,it was agreed that each Team will now consist of 6 riders maximum with only the best 5 results counting at each event .This was met with approval from one of the Challenge founder Mike Dobie and was carried unanimously . Teams of less than 6 can still enter but the cost will still be now £60 to enter a Team .Once entered and riders listed there can be no changes to the line up of each Team . The current Champions are always on hand to give advice on how to be successful under extreme pressure .

Introduction of new classes for 2017 ,these will be on a NON CHAMPIONSHIP basis so we can assess the need for these classes .

1.Pre 1972 Open . pretty much self explanatory ,any bike up to 31-12-71 or parts thereof to include early 1972 models ….. 2. Clubman class..for newcomers or riders wanting to gain confidence before going into main classes … 3 .Youth Class for 14 and 15 year olds .16 year olds can do this class as well if birthday falls in current season . On reaching 16 riders can move into adult class of their choice . Only bikes up to 125cc two stroke will be allowed in youth class . These 3 new classes will be in race 1 in each block and race alongside the Fourstroke and Pre 77 . The Youth and Clubmen will start races at up to 1 minute behind the main group and all riders in these classes will wear a yellow HI VIS Vest . All Youth and Clubmen riders must be Full Club Members and hold a full current I.O.P.D. Licence . and must wear a yellow HI VIS vest at all times whilst racing. If you disagree with any of these rules please do not complain at our events this year but do come to our A.G.M. IN 2017 WHERE YOU CAN VOICE YOUR OPINION AND PROPOSE ANY RULE CHANGES. The Club are doing all we can to help Motocross in Scotland and the last thing we want is any hassle or untoward behaviour from parents so the onus is on you the youth riders and parents to make this a success .This is a trial period of one year but we can if need be abandon the whole thing if we get any upsetting instances of trouble .The Club on the insistence of the I.O.P.D. have Elected a 3 man panel to oversee the Clubman and Youth classes G.Anderson , J.Grieve and J.Hopton are the 3 wise men who are in control and have the final say i.e. if a Clubman is capable and fast enough of racing in the main races or maybe they would be better off racing for a few more months in these classes or any other matter concerning these classes .The Clubman class will not get trophies but the Pre 72 if sufficient riders race will and J.Hopton will seek sponsorship for Youth Trophies.

The Race Card will need to be rejigged and the most likely outcome is the over 50s will be in race 2 with the Twinshocks and if we still see a downturn in Evo and Twostroke entries they will race together .It was raised at the A.G.M. that our first event at Drumclog is a free date for schoolboy racing in Scotland and may attract a large entry, if this happens and they need a separate race then that will be what happens indeed that will happen at any meeting and with any class.

We are still trying to secure sponsorship for our events so if you would like to sponsor our club or you know anyone that would like to please get in touch . We got a surprise sponsorship from RHINO BOILERS and MICKEY OATES MOTORCYCLES at the A.G.M. .They are jointly sponsoring the Duns event for which we thank them immensely.

We have no enemies and we turn no one away .Just be nice to each other and enjoy your days racing and we will all be happy. I try to lead by example and I am very nice to all the people at the racing and myself and the club welcome with open arms riders from other clubs to compete at our events so come along good people and lets all be one big happy family and enjoy each other,s company. If you have any gripes about anything at all please get in touch with one of the committee and I am sure we can sort things out .

The club will supply yellow bibs on loan to Clubmen and Youths for a £10 refundable deposit or you can buy a used one from the club for £5 as no bib means no ride .

The dance tickets will be on sale soon and are non refundable or transferable and are only £15 per adult. When they are gone they are gone as they say so get yours quick.

That wraps it up for this year and we look forward to seeing more new faces next year and welcoming back some of the old faces that have been absent in recent years for whatever reason.

WELCOME TO ALL . COME AND RACE IN A HAPPY FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE

LICENCES WILL BE SENT OUT ONCE WE GET THEM AROUND END OF JANUARY

Hope to see you all soon jose.
